Coffee slingers competed in front of a packed house this past Wednesday at the third RVA Barista Jam. All chairs were full and there was standing room only as nearly 15 competitors tried to take home the top prize. 1st place won $50 and major bragging rights. Second place won $20, and third place received a gift certificate to a local business.
Globehopper Coffeehouse & Lounge was a big winner this time, with manager Kimmy Certa taking home first place. Former barista there, Elliot Lau, took third. Second place was given to Michael Albrecht of Lamplighter, who despite being the last contestant to go in front of the judges (and we were all quite full of milk and espresso at that point) still wowed us.

charlie sheen rant: It rarely works out well when celebrities decide, on impulse, to telephone radio talk shows and explain themselves. There’s evidence of a cruel sense of mischief, for one thing. Later charlie sheen rant shared his grievances with the gossip site TMZ, with further name-calling.
History shows that in Hollywood employers do find remarkable reserves of toleration for troubled actors, as long as their films or shows are popular and making money. Think of John Belushi. With Sheen there’s an another intriguing angle. The quoted remarks reveal strains of furious self-justification mingled with bitter blaming and invective. I was shackled and oppressed by the cult of AA for 22 years… The only thing I’m addicted to right now is winning. I finally extracted myself from [AA’s] troll hole and started living my life the way I want to live it. It’s vintage, outdated and stupid and it’s followed by stupid people. I hate them violently. Debate me on AA right now. Bull****. The thing is, plenty of people who try AA as a way of dealing with their addiction discover, quite understandably, that it doesn’t agree with them. There’s a loose movement dedicated to what’s called “rational recovery” – ie, without the Higher Power. And many respectable authorities, like Stanford Peele, dispute AA’s philosophy and beliefs very cogently. Disliking AA is a valid position.
What I’m thinking of, as a driver of bitter hatred of AA, is that rage produced when an addict tries to come to terms with Step One of AA’s 12 steps. We admitted we were powerless over alcohol – that our lives had become unmanageable. This is the step where the addict admits, to his deepest innermost self, that he cannot run his life any more. He’s lost control.

“Two and a Half Men” star charlie sheen rant has skirted disaster as a wayward, middle-aged party boy who regularly tested the patience of the TV network and studio trying to protect their valuable sitcom property.
It was a violence-tinged and anti-Semitic radio rant that helped push him over the edge and, finally, forced CBS and Warner Bros. Television to take action.
In a one-sentence joint statement Thursday, the companies said they were ending production on television’s No. 1 sitcom for the season, a decision based on the “totality of Charlie Sheen’s statements, conduct and condition.”
Whether Charlie Sheen’s rant went far enough to sink the series and, possibly, his career as one of TV’s highest-paid actors remained unclear.
Sheen’s rambling interview Thursday with host Alex Jones was reminiscent of Mel Gibson’s rant during a 2006 traffic stop – but Sheen knew his rant was public.
The production halt leaves CBS eight episodes shy of the 24 half-hours it had expected to air as the cornerstone of its Monday night comedy lineup. And it makes the network and Warner, which reaps hundreds of millions from the show in syndication, the potential go-betweens between Sheen and “Two and a Half Men” executive producer Chuck Lorre.

Charlie Sheen's rant on the Alex Jones radio show was aired, in part, on 'The Early Show' (weekdays, 7AM ET on CBS). The now-infamous rant reportedly contributed to CBS' decision to shelve 'Two and a Half Men' for the remainder of the season.
In yesterday's radio interview, Sheen takes aim at the sitcom's co-creator, Chuck Lorre, referring to him by his Hebrew name and promising to "destroy" him in a rambling, but exceedingly colorful, way.
"I'm sorry, man. I've got magic and I've got poetry in my fingertips most of the time, and this includes naps, you know. I'm an F-18, bro, and I will destroy you in the air. I will deploy my ordinance to the ground," said Sheen.

Sheen also claimed to have been "cured" of any addictions. "I have a disease? Bulls***. I cured it with my brain, with my mind. I'm cured. I'm done. The only thing I'm addicted to right now is winning," he said.
Whatever Sheen says, we can't help but wonder if this will lead to 'Two and a Half Men' being canceled. What do you think?

Mike Kekich Would Like to Put That Whole Wife-Swapping Business Behind Him
0 komentar Diposting oleh asoy di 03.28Can you imagine if, 2011, two Yankees pitchers decided to swap wives and families, as Mike Kekich and Fritz Peterson did in the seventies? Is there a limit to what some reality-TV producer would pay to chronicle that bizarre arrangement? Barring a swinger mentality on this year's Yankees club that we are heretofore unaware of, we'll never learn the answer to that question. But the story of Kekich and Peterson remains a fascinating one, which is why (noted Red Sox fan) Ben Affleck and his brother, Casey, are working on a script for The Trade, a movie about the pitchers' wife-swap, and why Matt Damon may direct that film.
If they're to make that movie though, it appears they won't be able to count on the cooperation of Kekich. "Page Six" reports that Kekich, now living in New Mexico, is "panic-stricken" about the movie and is refusing to participate. And he's not the only one stonewalling the filmmakers: According to the report, other Yankees from that era are also refusing to participate.
Kekich's decision not to cooperate shouldn't come as a surprise. As Big League Stew points out, if he wanted to cash in on his story, he could have done it long ago. And it sounds like he's ready to move on. From "Page Six":
He has moved away and has a new identity. He is freaked out that those working on the movie found out where he is. He isn't too keen on having the scandal dredged up again after all this time.
Certainly, that's his right. (Kekich and Marilyn Peterson, by the way, didn't last, though Susanne Kekich and Fritz are still married.) But it's possible that the filmmakers might still be able to mine one of the key participants for information, if they haven't already: In an essay on Bronx Banter today, Bruce Markusen writes that during an interview last summer, Fritz Peterson informed him of his involvement with the movie.

Mike Kekich And Fritz Peterson: The Story Behind "The Trade"
0 komentar Diposting oleh asoy di 03.26Controversy is stirring about the upcoming Ben Affleck and Matt Damon film, "The Trade," which aims to recount the 1970's "wife swap" scandal, involving former Yankees Mike Kekich and Fritz Peterson.
The scandal, which began in 1972 but wasn't leaked to the media until 1973, eventually led to the two swaping wives permanently. The idea started from a joke the two long-time friends and pitchers made over dinner.
Details from The Clarion Ledger:
Peterson traded his wife, Marilyn, his two kids and a poodle for Susan Kekich, the two Kekich children and a Bedlington terrier.
"We didn't trade wives; we traded lives," Kekich said.
Said Yankees executive Dan Topping after the trade was announced during spring training of 1973, "We may have to call off Family Day this season."
"The Trade," which is being rewritten by Ben and Casey Affleck, will be based on the events and aftermath of the scandal, according to the New York Post.
According to USA Today, Kekich, who now lives in New Mexico and has a new family, is not very happy about the film, and is trying to get it blocked. Damon and Affleck are well-known Red Sox fans, and the Post also questions their ability to tackle the scandal in an unbiased manner.

This is a “must have” reference book for patients, parents, caregivers, and libraries with medical collections. This sourcebook is organized into three parts. Part I explores basic techniques to researching parry-romberg syndrome (e.g. finding guidelines on diagnosis, treatments, and prognosis), followed by a number of topics, including information on how to get in touch with organizations, associations, or other patient networks dedicated to parry-romberg syndrome. It also gives you sources of information that can help you find a doctor in your local area specializing in treating parry-romberg syndrome. Collectively, the material presented in Part I is a complete primer on basic research topics for patients with parry-romberg syndrome. Part II moves on to advanced research dedicated to parry-romberg syndrome. Part II is intended for those willing to invest many hours of hard work and study. It is here that we direct you to the latest scientific and applied research on parry-romberg syndrome. When possible, contact names, links via the Internet, and summaries are provided. In general, every attempt is made to recommend “free-to-use” options. Part III provides appendices of useful background reading for all patients with parry-romberg syndrome or related disorders. The appendices are dedicated to more pragmatic issues faced by many patients with parry-romberg syndrome. Accessing materials via medical libraries may be the only option for some readers, so a guide is provided for finding local medical libraries which are open to the public. Part III, therefore, focuses on advice that goes beyond the biological and scientific issues facing patients with parry-romberg syndrome.

Lady Gaga Says Her Stylish Life Is 'Just Another Day at the Office'
0 komentar Diposting oleh asoy di 02.06Lady Gaga insists her glamorous look is just part of her regular personality, fame or no fame.
Speaking to TV host Gayle King while wearing spikes on her face and shoulders, huge platform shoes and a leather dress, she said: “I live a glamorous, stylish life. It's nothing to do with money or anything. It's just the way I choose to live.
“I just woke up in my New York apartment and just wanted to be myself today, so I wore my vintage mute glare catsuit and these are my favourite shoes right now.
“They're creepers and they're made into platforms. I'm very excited about that. It's just another day at the office.”
She also tried to convince Gayle the spikes in her face were natural, adding: “They've been there this whole time but I waited until I'd put ‘Born This Way’ out for you to see them.”
Gaga, 24, also said claimed she does not take herself too seriously, and doesn’t worry about criticism.
She added: “I always like to say people take me too seriously and not seriously enough at the same time. I think there’s an incredible amount of scrutiny on young women and I think there’s a tremendous amount of analysis that goes into everything, but I just don't care what people think of me to be perfectly blunt.”

Kelsey Grammer's divorce from his wife of 13 years Camille was only finalized earlier this month, but he's set to tie the knot with 29-year-old Kayte Walsh today. Officiating the ceremony will be Grammer's La Cage aux Folles co-star Terry Lavell.
A source told the NY Post newspaper: “They’ll be married by Terry Lavell, who plays Mercedes. He has the license to officiate weddings. The congregation will sit in the audience seats.
“Kelsey wanted to get married at the Longacre because he enjoyed being on the stage. Also, it’s where he fell in love with Kayte; she was always backstage.”
When the ceremony is complete, the guests will then go to New York’s plush Plaza Hotel for the reception.
Around 150 guests are expected at the after-party, where they will dine on a multi-course meal of andoiulle en croute, slow-roasted turkey breast with chorizo stuffing and braised short-ribs.
For the vegetarians -- including Kayte -- a menu of goat’s cheese truffles and wild mushroom risotto will be served.
Kelsey’s ex-wife Camille recently wished the couple well in their marriage and expressed her hope they could communicate better about their two children; Mason, nine and Jude, six.
She said: “I'm sad for what was, yet excited about the road ahead. I'm grateful to my family and friends who have stood by me through this time -- I will never forget their love and support.
"What I most hope is that Kelsey and I can improve our communications and truly co-parent our two wonderful children; and I wish Kelsey and Kayte love and happiness in their new marriage."

Kathy Griffin has got some new spice in her love life!
The comedian has been seen out and about with Isaiah Mustafa (known as the Old Spice guy), and a source has confirmed that the two are indeed some sort of romantic pair.
"They are not boyfriend/girlfriend but they are definitely spending time together and getting to know each other," the source tells Us.
Kathy has been casually seeing Isaiah for several months now -- way back in September she tweeted a picture of herself with the commercial star, calling him "super hot." At an event on Tuesday night, he was seen whispering sweet nothings to Kathy and the next day doting on her on her set of Glee.
Guess she scored the hottie, who is a pretty hot commodity -- before romancing Kathy he was in a relationship with beauty Neve Campbell.

Abigail Breslin has definitely grown up since her appearance in Little Miss Sunshine, but at 14, she's not a party animal yet by any means. In fact, she says she's planning a low-key birthday bash for her 15th birthday in April.
Abigail Breslin (Pacific Coast News)
She said: “Well me and my best friend are thinking about having a joint birthday because we’re just a month apart from each other. But no, I’m not like a huge party person. I just like to hang out and chill.”
However despite her laid back attitude to parties, the actress is expecting lots of presents. She joked to BANG Showbiz: “Well, I’m not opposed to gifts! Let’s not get crazy now!”
Abigail admitted being a teen actress can be tricky because her voice changed over the course of making new animated movie Rango for which she provides the voice of Priscilla alongside Johnny Depp and Isla Fisher. She explained: “I came in two or three times to re-do some lines. For me, because we first shot it when I was 12, and I’ll be 15 in two months so my voice started to change a little bit. And I’d be 13 and going in and my voice sounded, just different. I had to like, ‘chipmunkify’ my voice a little bit. Make it a little higher. Most people in the movie were not having to go through changes in their voices when they filmed it.”

Former Yankee Mike Kekich Panicked Over Ben Affleck Wife Swap Movie
0 komentar Diposting oleh asoy di 01.14People wrongly assume that drama with athletes only started when TMZ started reporting on it. Drama has always existed, just the media didn’t report on it and if they did by the time you got the information it was dated.
If someone is arrested,we have the information immediately, back in the 70s might take days, if ever for that information to come to light.
Can you imagine if a story like Mike Kekich happened today? It would be talked about for months non stop. Short version Kekich and teammate Fritz Peterson decided to do an actual wife swap.
Ben Affleck and Matt Damon want to do a movie about it called “The Trade” and Kekich is freaking out.

Two and a Half Men Cancelled – Not Yet, Here’s How They Can Save the Show!
0 komentar Diposting oleh asoy di 00.49Two and a Half Men hasn’t been cancelled. Not yet. While shooting has been shut down for the season following Charlie Sheen’s off air meltdown and rantings against the hit show, there is still some room to save the Monday night darling without him.
Here are our ideas of how Two and a Half Men can be saved….
Send Uncle Charlie to rehab. If the show wants to explain the extended and probably permanent absence of Charlie Sheen’s character they can send him off to rehab. Maybe that would inspire the actor to finally head to rehab himself.

Was “Two and a Half Men” cancelled? Not yet… but Two and a Half Men production has been shut down for the rest of the season. Ah, Charlie Sheen’s douchey ways have finally caught up with him.
CBS and Warner Bros. TV released the following statement: “Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen’s statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of ‘Two and a Half Men’ for the remainder of the season.”

Charlie Sheen Assails 'Two And A Half Men' Creator Chuck Lorre With Insults & Curses
0 komentar Diposting oleh asoy di 00.26Yep, things between Two And A Half Men star Charlie Sheen and creator Chuck Lorre just got a lot worse. Following his verbal assault on Lorre, whom he calls by his "real name Chaim Levine", in a radio interview this morning, Sheen went way further in a TMZ interview this afternoon. "I violently hate Haim Levine," Sheen said in what is probably the harshest statement by a series star about their showrunner. "He's a stupid, stupid little man and a p**sy punk that I'd never want to be like. That's me being polite. That piece of s**t took money out of my pocket, my family's pocket, and, most importantly, my second family -- my crew's pocket... You can tell him one thing. I own him." He proceeded to challenge Lorre to a fight. "If he wins, then he can leave MY show, Sheen said.
PREVIOUS: When we thought Charlie Sheen's planned reunion with the cast and crew of Two and a Half Men next week could not get more awkward, it just did. In another surreal, rambling live radio interview, this time on the Alex Jones Show, Sheen unleashed a tirade at Men creator-executive producer Chuck Lorre over Lorre's recent tongue-in-cheek vanity card at the conclusion of the show's most recent original that ended with "If Charlie Sheen outlives me, I'm gonna be really pissed."
"That's one of few compliments that clown has paid me in freaking almost a decade," Sheen said in the interview posted on TMZ. He referred to Lorre by his "real name, Chaim Levine." "Chaim, last time I checked, I spent close to the last decade effortlessly and magically converting your tin cans into pure gold." He also called Lorre a "charlatan," challenging him with "You've been warned dude, bring it."
In the bizarre interview, Sheen offered Jones' much stronger proof that he is "100% clean" that the host probably bargained for: "Here's your first pee test, next one goes in your mouth. No, you won't get high." Sheen also claimed he cured his drug problems with his mind.
But among ramblings about trolls, Bible grippers and Vatican assassins, one line stood out, a quote from Apocalypse Now: "You do have the right to kill me but do not have the right to judge me."
Lorre and Warner Bros. TV, which produces Men had no comment. For now, the show is scheduled to return to production next week for 4 more episodes. Both the show and Sheen have one more year on their deals.

The man, who did not display a weapon, asked for and was given $250, according to a teller at the Broad Street bank.
The robber left on foot about 2:45 p.m. but reportedly offered someone $50 to give him a ride to Washington Avenue near the library.

"Two and a Half Men" was canceled for the season on Thursday, and here's why: Charlie Sheen went on an extended rant on the Alex Jones Radio Show on Thursday, touting his mental curing abilities, ninja training, magic fingertips and, most consequentially, ripping "Two and a Half Men" creator Chuck Lorre -- whom he later challenged to an ultimate fighting match. It's a doozy.
A few select bytes. First, on Lorre:
"I'm tired of being told 'You can't talk about that, you can't talk about that.' Bull S-H-I-T. There's something this side of deplorable that a certain Chaim Levine -- yeah, that's Chuck's real name -- mistook this rock star for his own selfish exit strategy, bro. Check it, Alex: I embarrassed him in front of his children and the world by healing at a pace that his unevolved mind cannot process. Last I checked, Chaim, I spent close to the last decade effortlessly and magically converting your tin cans into pure gold. And the gratitude I get is this charlatan chose not to do his job, which is to write. Clearly someone who believes he's above the law."
And on his newest addiction:
"I have cleansed myself. I closed my eyes and in a nanosecond, I cured myself... It's the work of sissies. The only thing I'm addicted to is winning. This bootleg cult, arrogantly referred to as Alcoholics Anonymous, reports a 5 percent success rate. My success rate is 100 percent. Do the math ... another one of their mottoes is 'Don't be special, be one of us.' Newsflash: I am special, and I will never be one of you! I have a disease? Bulls**t! I cured it with my brain, with my mind. I cured it, I'm done ... you don't look like you're having a lot of fun. I'm gonna hang out with these two smoking hotties and fly privately around the world. It might be lonely up here but I sure like the view, Alex!"

Ranbir Kapoor is nowadays seen getting very close to Salman’s ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif. They started getting close from their very first movie together 'AJAB PREM KI GAZAB KAHANI'.
Reliable sources say that Salman is very angry on this closeness and he called up Rishi Kapoor and said that keep Ranbir in control and tell him to stay away from Katrina. Well Ranbir you have to be much aware now because it’s Salman Bhai.
Recently both Katrina and Ranbir were seen coming together at Karan Johar’s party and both even left together. Ranbir also took Katrina on a ride in his new Audi. Both were even seen together for dinner. They were even seen secretly kissing in the flight. Must say that you both are really getting very close.

Cristin Milioti: Watch the '30 Rock' scene-stealer's 'Sopranos' past
0 komentar Diposting oleh asoy di 17.33The Feb. 24 episode of "30 Rock" was, for lack of a better term, a perfect storm of awesome.
Not only did "Let Me In" star Chloe Moretz show up as ruthless, Bieber-loving, aspiring businesswoman-child, "TGS" almost got a new writer in Abby Flynn (Cristin Milioti).
Playing an up-and-coming stand-up comedian, with pigtails and a baby voice, Milioti kind of stole the episode for us -- if you ignore, for a moment, the sight of Alec Baldwin in an old sea captain's uniform.
But we couldn't help but wonder, under the wig and, ahem, cleavage... why Milioti looks so familiar. Enter: the Internet.
Milioti is a three-time "Sopranos" vet, playing the very small, but distinctly hilarious, role of Catherine Sacrimoni, which you might remember best as the grumpy bridesmaid in "Mr. & Mrs. John Sacrimoni Request."
Though her shining moment ("God! Can't this family ever talk about anything besides food?") doesn't seem to be on YouTube, you can watch her look shocked when her mother keels over at the worst wedding ever.

Oklahoma City Thunder Trade Jeff Green and Nenad Krstic to the Boston Celtics for Kendrick Perkins and Nate Robinson
0 komentar Diposting oleh asoy di 16.27January 28th, 2009. That's the last time the Thunder had a different starting lineup, not including injuries. On that date in a game against the Memphis Grizzlies, Desmond Mason suffered a season-ending knee injury, and Thabo Sefolosha took his place in the rotation, setting in stone a lineup that would survive for 756 days, or over two years. But today, things have finally changed.
We have traded away Jeff Green. We acquired Jeff Green back in the Supersonics days in a trade involving Ray Allen. Green has been a fixture in our rotation, and he had moments where one would think he had the same scoring ability as Kevin Durant. But, as the years went by, the gap between Jeff Green and Kevin Durant widened. Green's games became more and more statistically inefficient, and it was painfully obvious he couldn't guard most NBA power forwards. He couldn't be put on the bench, as there are few minutes to be had behind Durant, and he's too big to be a shooting guard. Thus, Green was always in a state of flux. Thunder fans appreciated him, but always wanted someone else at PF, and he was always mentioned in deals for other big men. His fate was sealed when the Thunder were unable to sign him to an extension, meaning the Thunder would likely lose him in Free Agency if they weren't willing to pony up the cash. Thus, he was traded for someone more suitable in the paint.
Nenad Krstic is also a goner. He was a no risk, high reward signing out of the Russian Superleague two years ago, and he proved to be a very serviceable center. But, to be honest, he was everyone's favourite player to hate. He wasn't a very physical center, and he didn't defend well. He scored very efficiently in bursts, but whenever he missed a couple of jumpers or got dunked on, everyone was quick to point the finger at him. Alas, for that is the nature of basketball. But in all honesty, there's a reason he started at center over Ibaka. He was always available as an offensive option when Durant and Westbrook got tied up, and the plays that were drawn for him worked remarkably well. He didn't commit stupid mistakes, and always knew where to be on the floor. His mid-range jumper was like butter, and he could always overpower those who were smaller than him. Yes, he was a below average defender, and yes, he would never go in the paint and score. But he was what he was, and he helped us to Oklahoma City's first playoff run. And that fact cannot be forgotten.

Jeff Green and Nenad Krstic Traded to the Celtics for Kendrick Perkins and Nate Robinson
0 komentar Diposting oleh asoy di 16.24In the last seconds of NBA trade deadline, Boston Celtics acquired the Thunder’s Nenad Krstic and Jeff Green, in exchange for their two fan favorites Kendrick Perkins and Nate Robinson.
Both Krstic and Green had been two expendable players of Oklahoma City Thunder, being regular starters for the team that made the playoffs last season and currently sits fourth in the Western Conference. According to Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe, the Celtics will also get the Clippers’ first-round pick in 2012.
The Celtics had two main reasons to trade Perkins. The first is Perkins’ contract which expires when this season is over, and the second is Perkins’ history injury. Perkins had a bad history injury as a basketball player. He had recently encountered trouble with both knees, tearing his right ACL during the NBA Finals last June and straining his left MCL this week. Perkins was almost finishing his eighth season in the Celtics.
And for Robinson, his role in the Celtics had begun to become obsolete as Delonte West and Von Wafer have returned to the Celtics. Nate Robinson is probably better known for his dunk contest exploits than anything else. But, he’s a solid player as well. He used to be the star of a mediocre Knicks team, and then accepted a bench role on a championship-caliber Celtics team last year.

THURSDAY, 10:01am: GM John Mozeliak confirmed that Wainwright will undergo Tommy John surgery according to the team's official Twitter feed. The injury will keep him on the shelf for all of 2011.
WEDNESDAY, 8:59am: Adam Wainwright is heading back to St. Louis to have his right elbow examined, and right now the team expects the worst. "I can say just based on the initial evaluation from our training staff, things do not look encouraging," said GM John Mozeliak according to Derrick Goold of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch. ESPN's Buster Olney says (on Twitter) that it appears the team is expecting their ace to have Tommy John surgery, which would keep him out for all of 2011.
Wainwright, 29, has been one of the game's best pitchers in recent years, pitching to a 2.53 ERA with 8.3 K/9 and 2.4 BB/9 in 463 1/3 innings over the last two seasons. He finished second in the NL Cy Young voting last season and third in 2009. Rival executives are speculating that the Cards will pursue Kevin Millwood in the wake of the injury, according to Olney (on Twitter). Over the weekend we heard that Millwood was "waiting for the right widespread panic."
If Wainwright finishes the 2011 season on the disabled list, his $9MM option for 2012 and $12MM option for 2013 will not vest.

Natalie Kenly:The 24-year old model is one of several women - along with Bree Olson and Brooke Mueller - who is currently vacationing with Charlie Sheen in the tropics.
Best known for her spreads in Cali Chronic X Magazine, Kenly was first identified by TMZ as the mystery woman who was spotted smooching the actor this week and who he's been telling pals is one of his many "goddesses." Really. We're not making any of this up.

A marijuana lover, Kenly was crowned "Chronic Girl 2010" by the publication. Its co-editor, Jeffrey Peterson, told TMZ that Sheen developed an interest in Natalie soon after seeing her on the cover of last year's February issue, pictured above.
Peterson even adds that Charlie has been "very romantic" when it comes to his courtship of Kenly. We can only assume this means he offered her the premium cocaine.

North Clackamas presents controversial cost-cutting measures to school board
0 komentar Diposting oleh asoy di 01.18On the heels of three community meetings announcing potential school closures and consolidations, the North Clackamas School District are presenting a package of major changes, which includes operating fewer elementary schools, hiking fees, and changing schedules next year.
The superintendent and district administrators insist the changes are necessary to help bring extra revenue and efficiently spread out a workforce that has lost the equivalent of more than 220 positions since 2008-09. Superintendent Tim Mills says the district must reduce more than 150 positions next year to counter a budget shortfall of about $10 million to $15 million next year.
School board members will vote on the measures in March.

This will be the last flight for Discovery before it is retired by NASA. This particular mission has been three months in the making — the original launch was scheduled for November 1st, but due to bad weather and some mechanical problems, it was delayed. The purpose of this mission is to supply the International Space Station with food and various other supplies and equipment.

The Lake Oswego School District had a double dose of news yesterday night: board members voted to take the next step in possible school closures, and Superintendent Bill Korach announced his retirement.
Sort of.
Korach, who's in his 24th year as schools chief, announced his official retirement. Korach will actually continue as superintendent, and find a way to use a reduced salary to fund a teaching and non-teaching position in the district.
